After 12 hours of buses through Honduras, and one night in a boring border town i was in Leon. Scruffy looking and unpolished there was defiantly good vibe building as soon as the bus pulled into the chaotic bus station 15 minutes walk from the centre. It turns out i was right, the town was quite alive and plenty to see and do for a couple of days.. yes it was extremely hot like a temperature i haven’t felt in a long time, and i was going through clothes like i was working in a boiler house, but it was great.
For phototaking it was also great.. i had my photographers mojo back and the town had the best summer storms i had seen so far, and everywhere i went the kids wanted me to take photos of them so they could see themselves.. It was truly beautiful and i was falling in love with Nicaragua already.

Lions on the fountain, and the Cathedral San Pedro in the centre of Leon.

Ruins of the church San Sebastian in Leon. It is located across the street from a prison that the National Guard used to torture opponents. It was almost completely destroyed by bombs in 1979.As the storm approaches the birds fly towards the Cathedral

Church Sutiaba on the outskirts of the city.
